One more month until the World Cup in Carezza

It has now become a tradition that the FIS Snowboard World Cup begins in South Tyrol. For the fifth time, the best “board sliders” will fight for World Cup points on the Pra di Tori slope. And in the middle of them are the strong local snowboarders who want to compete for victory this year too.

After all, Roland Filehner & Co. have to defend strong results from the previous year. The 35-year-old from Villnößer took victory in December 2014, while Nadya Ochner took third place. It was the second home win for “Fisch”. He also prevailed in December 2011.

With Aaron March (Sterzing) and Edwin Coratti (Graun), two other “Azzurri” survived qualification last year, but were eliminated in the round of 16. March ended up in tenth place, Coratti came in twelfth.

Christoph Mick: “Still working on the fine-tuning”

“It’s always nice to ride at home. But I'm glad we still have a month to prepare. The entire team is in great shape, but we still don't want to leave anything to chance in Carezza. There is still some fine-tuning to be done. I’m happy that I can drive in front of my fans again,” says Christoph Mick, who climbed onto the World Cup podium for the first time in the 2014/15 season. Mick is at home in Nova Levante, so he knows the Carezza ski area like the back of his hand.

This year's World Cup race on Saturday, December 12, 2015 begins at 8.45:16 a.m. with qualification. The finals in the single-run format with the 12.30 fastest snowboarders from the qualifications are scheduled to start at 13.30 p.m. The grand finale takes place at around XNUMX p.m.

Two training runs are planned on the Pra di Tori slope on Thursday, December 10th and Friday, December 11th.
