Roland Filehner grabs the little ball

Vice world champion Roland Filehner finished the qualification in second place, ahead of his teammate Aaron March, Edwin Coratti followed in 2th place - an excellent starting position for the local snowboard cracks. In the round of 4, however, Filehner lost out to Alexander Payer (AUT), March narrowly beat Radoslav Rankov (BUL) and Coratti eliminated Lukas Mathies (AUT). In the quarterfinals, March lost to Kosir (SLO), Coratti made it to the semifinals against Alexander Payer. There Coratti had no chance against the local hero Kosir, who prevailed in the final against Andrey Sobolev (RUS). In the small final, Coratti crashed and had to settle for fourth place in the end. For the 36-year-old Kosir it was the 6th World Cup victory of his career. Because Benjamin Karl (AUT) and Andreas Promegger (AUT) were unable to qualify for the final, “Fisch” was able to carve his way to victory in the discipline ranking in a relatively relaxed manner. In the final ranking, the 40-year-old overtook both Igor Sluev (RUS) and Karl and thus successfully defended the small crystal ball. Before the parallel slalom on Sunday, March leads the overall ranking and is in second place in the slalom ranking. In the women's race, Ramona Theresia Hofmeister (GER) won, ahead of runner-up world champion Sofia Nadyrshina (RUS). In the small final for third place, Julie Zogg (SUI) beat Claudia Riegler (AUT). At the Snowboard World Cup in Rogla (SLO) there was a hint of “South Tyrolean Day” in the air after qualifying for the parallel giant slalom. In the end, Roland Filehner also celebrated alongside host Zan Kosir.
