“I became infected, but had no problems and was always able to train at home. The good thing is that I am now free for six months thanks to the recovery document,” explains the ski freestyler from Corvara, who lives in Innsbruck.

She won the Freeride World Tour in 2018, 2019 and 2020. Last year, the Swiss Elisabeth Gerritzen, who was very good friends with Tricomi, won the world title.

Tricomi used the summer and early fall for plenty of outdoor training. “I climbed and hiked a lot in the Dolomites and that was a lot of fun. I just love the mountains. In July the screws and plates in my ankle were removed. “I’m doing very well physically,” Tricomi briefly sums up.

The woman from Val Badia has already completed some snow training on the glaciers in Austria. “I’m looking forward to the tour again and hope for times gone by before the pandemic. “Because of Corona, the last season was anything but nice. You could tell the subdued mood among the people in the scene,” reports Tricomi. As an emotional person, she suffered greatly from this.

The World Tour starts this year in Spain, on January 22nd. Four competitions take place in Europe and one competition in Canada. “It's a shame that Japan isn't on the calendar. But because of the pandemic, people didn’t want to travel too much between continents,” says Tricomi. She doesn't set any big sporting goals for herself, but she does have a lot of ideas and plans.

“I'm thinking about a film project, videos. There are a lot of things, but due to the uncertain situation, nothing has been defined yet,” regrets the 29-year-old. Tricomi often lets herself be driven by her inner voice and is a free spirit. That's why she loves her life as a free rider between the snow-covered rock faces so much.
