FISI honors World Cup winners at Prowinter

Last winter was an extremely successful one for FISI: Sofia Goggia became the first downhill Olympic champion, Silvia Bertagna was the first “Azzurra” to win the crystal ball in freestyle big air and Peter Fill was the first FISI athlete to win the Alpine World Cup Combination. There were a total of 161 podium places for the FISI, the record from the previous year was 170. However, the season is not over for the association yet, as the summer World Cups in grass skiing and roller skiing also count towards the balance sheet. This means the mark of 170 podiums could be exceeded.

In addition to Silvia Bertagna and Peter Fill, natural track sledder Patrick Pigneter, who now has his 20th World Cup ball at home, was also honored. And Omar Visintin also successfully defended the ball in team cross in snowboard cross together with Emanuel Perathoner. The mixed biathlon relay with Dorothea Wierer, Lisa Vittozzi, Lukas Hofer and Dominik Windisch was also honored.

FISI honors World Cup winners at Prowinter

As part of the Prowinter trade fair in the Bolzano trade fair, the Italian winter sports association FISI honored its most successful athletes.
