Olympics 2026: Stockholm receives state guarantees

Stockholm's bid to host the 2026 Winter Olympics has overcome a high hurdle. Three days before the deadline, the Swedish government promised the necessary state guarantees. This puts Stockholm back on a par with Milan/Cortina d'Ampezzo. The competitor from Italy received approval for its state guarantees on April 5th.
