Over 600 visitors at the FISI finals on the Senales Glacier

Over 100 athletes took part in the giant slalom at over 3.200 meters above sea level. On the glacier, the little stars followed the big names of their predecessors Lara Dalla Mea, Tobias Kastlunger (Gadertal) and Alex Vinatzer (Gröden).

Also taking part in the FISI final in Val Senales were the ski mountaineers Robert Antonioli, Michele Boscacci, Alba De Silvestro, the South Tyrolean tobogganist Patrick Pigneter, Clara Florian, Greta Pinggera and Evelin Lanthaler.

The “Azzurri” didn’t miss the chance to enjoy glacier skiing on the Hochjochferner in spring with their fans in the best snow conditions and bright sunshine. Young athletes compete with their idols It was a grand finale with over 600 people gathered on the glacier, most of them young athletes, who were able to compete with their idols and spend a day with their stars on this special day. Fantastic weather attracted numerous visitors.

Alex Vinatzer was happy about a comfortable end to the season: “Optimal conditions, snow conditions that you won't find anywhere else, the weather was fantastic. The children were excited about skiing with us, I think they had a lot of fun today.” A recommendation to the stars of tomorrow? "Train hard." Alex Vinatzer showed his skills on the Schnalstal Glacier.

Giant slalom creates excitement Young athletes from numerous clubs from different regions of Italy took part in the giant slalom on the glacier.

The youngest participant was Mattia Perisinotto from SC Brixen, who was just five years old, while the oldest participant was Otto Totschläger from the Ski Alpin Club Meran – born in 1935.

The race was all about a brightly beautiful spring day with perfect snow conditions. An ideal end to the ski season for the athletes in the highest hotel in Europe, the Glacier Hotel Grawand. Peter Fill and Manfred Mölgg were also there at the FISI in Tour Series gala evening. The young skiers proved themselves in a giant slalom.

Over 600 visitors at the FISI finals on the Senales Glacier

Over 600 people attended the big season finale of the Italian winter sports association FISI on the Senales Glacier on Saturday. Including numerous athletes from the Italian national team and many motivated ski children.
