SKI JUMPING: In the last competition before the Four Hills Ski Jumping Tournament, the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi made himself the favorite for the classic at the turn of the year. After finishing 13th in the two-man bobsleigh on Saturday, he made it to 10th place on Sunday together with Alex Verginer from Val Badia, Lorenzo Bilotti and Eric Fantazzini, at the same time as Markus Treichl's Austrian four-man bobsleigh. CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: Federico Pellegrino and Francesco De Fabiani took fourth place in the team sprint in Dresden on Sunday. The Italian duo had to admit defeat to Norway II, consisting of Thomas Larsen and Even Northug, Norway I (Sindre Skar and Haavard Taugbøl) and the Russians Alexander Bolshunov and Gleb Retivykh. The gap to the podium was only 16 hundredths. Michael Hellweger and his partner Simone Mocellini failed in the semi-finals. In the women's race, the Swedes Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist won the race. The Americans Jessica Diggins and Julia Kern came second, Eva Urevc and Anamarija Lampic from Slovenia came third. ARTISTIC TRACK TOBOGGANING: South Tyrol's currently best luger, Andrea Vötter, is getting better and better. Victory went to the German overall World Cup leader Julia Taubitz, who beat Madeleine Egle (AUT) by 0,012 seconds and Natalie Geisenberger (GER) by 0,348 seconds.
