CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: Norway's cross-country skiing superstar Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and Sweden's Ebba Andersson have won the final classic mass start races in Les Rousses, France. Francesco De Fabiani from Aosta (40th) and Anna Comarella from Cortine (22nd) were the best Italians, there were no South Tyroleans at the start.

SKI JUMPING: Four Hills Tournament winner Granerud is still in top form and won the overall leader's yellow jersey for the first time while flying on the Kulm in Bad Mitterndorf. The Norwegian won ahead of Slovenia's representative Timi Zajc and the Austrian Loklamatador Stefan Kraft. The 21-year-old Giovanni Bresadola from Nonsberg impressed with 14th place. Alex Insam from Val Gardena missed the qualification for the second round and ended up in 2th place.

BOB: Johannes Lochner stopped Francesco Friedrich's record streak that has been going on since 2013 and won the world title in the two-man bobsleigh for the first time. Lochner relegated his German teammate to second place, with the Swiss Michael Vogt coming third. South Tyrol's model bobsleigh pilot, the Palatinate Patrick Baumgartner, drove into the top ten in tenth place with his pusher Eric Fantazzini. After the first two runs on Saturday, the two Azzurri were in tenth position, which they were able to defend in the final two runs.

BIATHLON: On Sunday the biathletes held the last two competitions of the European Championships in Lenzerheide (Switzerland). Both titles went to Norway. Erlend Bjøntegaard led the mixed relay to the gold medal. The relay teams from Germany and Sweden completed the podium. The Antholz woman Linda Zingerle took eighth place with Michela Carrara, Nicola Romanin and Marco Barale. In the single mixed relay, the Italians Eleonora Fauner and Cedric Christille had to settle for 13th place, while gold went to the Norwegians Juni Arnekleiv and Endre Strømsheim.

ALPINE SKIING: A European Cup downhill was on the program in Orcieres Merlette, France, on Sunday. The Swiss Franjo von Allmen won, ahead of his compatriot Marco Kohler (+0,30) and the Slovenian Nejc Naralocnik (+0,33). Nicolò Molteni (5th) was the best Italian.

ARTISTIC TRACK TOBOGGANING: South Tyrol's tobogganing aces missed out on a medal at the end of the World Championships in Oberhof. Andrea Vötter, Dominik Filehner and Emanuel Rieder and Simon Kainzwaldner came fourth in the team relay. The quartet held the lead for a long time, but ultimately had to give way to Latvia, Austria and world champion Germany. Anna Berreiter, Max Langenhan, Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken won ahead of the Austrian team (Madeleine Egle, Jonas Müller, Yannick Müller, Armin Frauscher) with just 23 thousandths. Kendija Aparjode, Kristers Aparjods, Martins Bots and Roberts Blume were happy about the bronze medal.

NORDIC COMBINATION: The Austrian Johannes Lamparter won the Seefeld Triple for the first time. The 21-year-old world champion confidently defended his lead in the final 12,5-kilometer run in Tyrol and thus also took over the yellow jersey of the overall World Cup leader. Well behind Lamparter, a larger group fought for the other podium places, in the end the German Julian Schmid and Norway's Jens Luuras Oftebro ended up in second and third place. Raffaele Buzzi reached 18th place as the best Italian. After his strong eleventh place from the previous day Aaron Kostner settle for 29th place. Samuel Costa ended up outside the points.
