South Tyrol's prominent training guests lose against Udinese

The top German club RB Leipzig lost its first game during the training camp in Reischach.

The Bundesliga soccer team lost 1:2 (0:1) against Udinese Calcio on Tuesday evening. However, the game was not played in South Tyrol, but at the Rapid Lienz facility in the East Tyrolean capital. This is located approximately halfway between Reischach and Udinese's training camp quarters in Bad Kleinkirchheim (Carinthia).


The goalscorers for last year's twelfth place in Serie A were former RB professional Lazar Samardzic (30th) and Vivaldo Samedo (83rd). New signing Loïs Openda equalized for Leipzig after the break (66th).

The German top team deployed numerous new signings in Lienz, including Xavi Simons (formerly Paris Saint-Germain)
and El-Chadaille Bitshiabu (PSG) and Fabio Carvalho
(Liverpool) their debut. Due to minor complaints and rehabilitation measures, newcomer Christoph Baumgartner (Hoffenheim) and the veterans Emil Forsberg, Yussuf Poulsen and Lukas Klostermann stayed in the training camp hotel in Reischach. The Saxons will train there until July 28th.
