Big Bayern party in Kaltern: South Tyrol's footballers are keeping up well

This day, this game will probably be remembered forever by South Tyrol's FC Bayern fans. The “dream game” in 2023, which was brought to Überetsch by the Weinbeisser Kaltern fan club, was a complete success.

FC Bayern Munich defeated the South Tyrolean Bayern fan clubs 6-1 and clearly enjoyed the festive atmosphere in the Altenburger Waldstadion.

After the bitter 0-3 defeat in the German Supercup final against RB Leipzig, FC Bayern Munich rehabilitated themselves in the first Bundesliga game of the season against Werder Bremen on Friday evening with a 4-0 win, just to the taste of the Bayern fans and traveled The next day we went to South Tyrol in a good mood. After arriving at the airport in Bolzano, minibuses took them to Kaltern, where they were loudly welcomed by 6400 South Tyrolean spectators. The kick-off took place at 15.15:XNUMX p.m. in the Altenburg sports zone.

And the dream team from the umbrella organization of the South Tyrolean Bayern fan clubs performed bravely from the start. Bayern, led by captain Thomas Müller, dominated the game, but had a lot of trouble in front of the goal. In the first block of the South Tyrol team, goalkeeper Stefan Geier was particularly noticeable, making three strong saves - first against Müller, then against Tel and, last but not least, against Laimer. So after the first 22 minutes, when there was a drinking break in the sweltering heat and the second block was on, it was still 0-0.

The first goal comes after 36 minutes

The South Tyroleans' second block also put up a brave fight and held off the Bayern stars' attacks for a long time. First, Choupo-Moting headed over, but then the score was 1-0. Pavard was free after a nice relay of passes from the German record champions and gave up to Partschins goalie Ulrich Rungg (36th). But then the unthinkable happened: Suddenly the South Tyrolean team was pushing for a goal of their own and lo and behold: in the 44th minute the ball ended up directly in front of the legs of Martin Ritsch, probably the best South Tyrolean amateur footballer, who wasn't in the box either asked twice and made it 1-1 (44th). The entire Altenburger Waldstadion was thrilled and the entire fan club team also formed a cheering crowd on the lawn. Although crowd favorite Thomas Müller immediately made it 2-1 with a header (45'), the South Tyroleans still managed to score a goal.

After the break, FC Bayern went up a notch and scored three goals within nine minutes. First Müller, who was repeatedly celebrated with chants, completed his personal double (54th), then the Munich number 25 assisted his teammate Mathys Tel to make it 4-1 (58th). In the 63rd minute, a well-placed shot from Ryan Gravenberch landed in the top corner and the score was 5-1. From a South Tyrolean perspective, the only thing to be noted was a long shot from Tramin's top scorer Alex Pfitscher, which went just over.

Ceremonial reception for Harry Kane

In the last 20 minutes, Bayern's brand new top transfer stepped onto the pitch in Kaltern. Harry Kane, the captain of the English national team and record signing in the Bundesliga, was greeted with thunderous cheers from the stands and couldn't help but smile. But his counterpart had the best chance: Lukas Hofer, who scored the most goals in the state league last year with 18 goals, shot just over. The final point of a truly sensational event in Überetsch in South Tyrol was Jamal Musiala, who made it 88-6 in the 1th minute.

Even off the pitch, the event, which was organized by the “Weinbeissern Kaltern” in collaboration with the Kaltern community, the tourism association, the local sports clubs and numerous other supporters, was more than impressive. The atmosphere in the festival tent was like that of a family celebration, as there were also numerous children and young people there. The thousands of people present didn't let the unusually hot temperatures dampen their spirits, the fans behaved in an exemplary manner and the “Weinbeisser” and the umbrella organization of the South Tyrolean Bayern fan clubs can look back on a smooth event.
