Some Bolzano fans also want to create an atmosphere in the Sparkasse Arena during the World Cup.

Despite stadium bans: Bolzano fans provide World Cup support

This Friday, the Bozen Quaestor imposed new sanctions against Ultras of HC Bozen. Nevertheless: Italy's national ice hockey team can look forward to loud support from the stands at the home World Cup from Sunday.

Stadium bans were already imposed on Bolzano supporters last winter after turmoil at a guest game in Asiago, and new measures are now being taken. Due to incidents at the derby against HC Pustertal on January 6th, Questör has imposed stadium bans on two fans for a period of one year.

A 30-year-old wanted to disrupt the departure of the Bruneck fans after the game and attacked the law enforcement officers at the Bozen Süd train station with pyrotechnic objects. A 25-year-old man, on the other hand, is said to have worn clothing with a clearly recognizable National Socialist print in the ice rink. He also faces criminal consequences.

Mini subscription for active fans

Both ice hockey fans are now not allowed to attend sporting events for a year. It is unclear whether they belong to the hard core of the Bolzano fan curve. They are currently preparing to provide loud and visual support for the Blue Team at the home World Cup of the 1st Division in the Sparkasse Arena. With choreographies, flags and fan chants, parts of the Bolzano fan scene want to help Daniel Frank, Marco Insam & Co. return to the top division in the title fights starting on Sunday.

For ice hockey fans who want to actively support the Azzurri, a reduced-price tournament subscription is available for the back goal area, where the Bolzano Ultras usually gather. The active fan scene largely stayed away from the last World Cup to date in Bolzano in 1994 in protest against excessively high admission prices.
