An NHL duo is almost through

In the NHL play-offs, the Florida Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes won their third game in the third round of the round of 16. This means that the duo is only missing one success to reach the quarter-finals.

In ice hockey we speak of a sweep when a series is decided with 4-0 victories. Title contenders Florida and Carolina are well on their way there.

The Panthers had a 5-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Matthew Tkachuk scored two goals for Florida, which didn't let itself be fazed by a 1-2 deficit.

Andersen with a strong game

A strong Frederik Andersen in Carolina's goal helped the Hurricanes to a 3-2 win against the New York Islanders. Andrei Svechnikov shone with two assists for the “Canes”.

The New York Rangers are also looking for a 3-0 lead in the series against Washington tonight. They are the most frequently mentioned title contenders alongside Florida, Carolina, Boston, Vegas and Colorado.
