4-1 win: The Foxes have written!

HC Bozen tackled its home premiere with a lot of enthusiasm and went on the offensive from the start. However, the Bulldogs also left their blinders in the dressing room and a fast-paced game developed in the first third - without either team gaining the upper hand. Only as the game continued did the Foxes gain more chances. Alex Petan missed the best opportunity from a central location.

The lively Italian-Canadian appeared again after the first break when he played free on the wing, moved towards the goal and finally put Michele Marchetti in the spotlight. He didn't hesitate for a moment and fired a rocket that fidgeted in the Dornbirn network for a split second. The 1-0 score served as a wake-up call for the HCB offensive, which – driven by the loud fans – stepped on the accelerator. Vorarlberg came under so much pressure that even goalie Ronan Quemener, who had been so cool until then, showed nerves. He came out of the box after a bad pass from Bozner, messed up the goal and paved the way for Chris DeSousa to make it 2-0. The 26-year-old center probably couldn't have scored his first goal in the HCB uniform any easier. Only a short time later, however, Quemener appeared wide awake when he directed Mike Angelidis' shot from a tight angle onto the goalpost. The Bulldogs were still well served with a two-goal deficit at halftime.

HCB offensive is running at operating temperature

In the final section things continued at the same pace: Bolzano seemed energized, while Dornbirn showed the first signs of dissolution. This was also the case in the 45th minute, when Chris Carlisle made the decision. Quemener blocked his first attempt at the end and sank the second mercilessly. Carlisle rewarded themselves for an outstanding performance that evening. A short time later, his teammate Austin Smith followed suit: the former Innsbruck player scored in the power play to make it 4-0. However, the final point was reserved for the guests from the “Ländle”, who managed to score a consolation goal with one more man on the ice, which primarily annoyed Marcel Melichercik. Dustin Sylvester ruined the otherwise flawless HCB goalie's shoutout. But this remained the only downside to the completely successful premiere of the newly formed HC Bozen.

4-1 win: The Foxes have written!

The bitter opening defeats in Innsbruck and Linz have been forgotten: HCB Südtirol Alperia showed their class for the first time in the first home game of the season and put the Bulldogs from Dornbirn in their place. The almost 2.700 spectators in the ice wave were treated to an easy 4-1 victory.
