4-1 win: Ritten advances to the AHL final

1.500 spectators watched the first final game in the Ritten Arena, including almost 200 fans from Asiago who were there to experience an eventful evening. But first things first: Both teams were able to make full use of their resources and compete with their best players.

The home team got off to a dream start. After just 91 seconds, Markus Spinell played a precise pass down the middle to Alex Frei, who pushed the puck between the leg pads of former Ritten goalie Frederic Cloutier. For the Kalterer it was the sixth goal in the eighth playoff game. Afterwards, Asiago also had good opportunities, but first Daniel Sullivan and then Andreas Lutz were denied by Patrick Killeen. So after 20 minutes, “Buam” remained in the narrow lead.

At the beginning of the second third, the guests pushed for the equalizer. Anthony Nigro couldn't take advantage of a good chance. Shortly afterwards, Enrico Miglioranzi had to go to the penalty box. The Italian champions took advantage of this numerical advantage and increased the lead to 28.12-2 in the 0 minute with a hammer shot from Oscar Ahlström. Before the second third break, Ritten closed the bag. After a rebound from Cloutier, Simon Kostner reacted quickest and scored to make it 3-0.

In the final third, Ritten controlled the match, while Asiago could no longer gain momentum. Eight minutes before the end of the game, the “Buam” had a goal denied because Dan Tudin was in the goal area. In the 57.30 minute, Daniel Sullivan scored the 1:3 goal when he was outnumbered (Ploner had to go to the penalty box), before Janis Sprukts scored into the empty goal 93 seconds before the final siren to make the final score 4:1.

The second final game will take place on Monday, April 3rd at the Odegar Stadium in Asiago. The game starts at 20.30:XNUMX p.m.
