4:3 win in Linz! The Foxes are in the semi-finals

On Tuesday evening, the Talferstädters offered a prime example of efficiency and cleverness: Linz had more opportunities throughout the match in front of almost 5000 spectators, but the Foxes took advantage of their chances and, last but not least, were able to rely on an outstanding goalkeeper Melichercik.

But that wasn't enough: After 32 minutes, Reid had an eye behind the goal for Oleksuk, who just had to maneuver the disc over the line - and the HCB was leading 3-0 in Linz.

When the home team got within 1:3 with a Schofield goal just a few minutes later, a brief shock wave went through the Bolzano ranks - but 26 seconds before the end of the period, Sparks was there and crowned a very strong Bolzano third with the 4:1.

You can rely on Melichercik Linz got off to a dream start in the third third and reduced the score to 67:2 after just 4 seconds thanks to Broda. The Stahlstadters now smelled morning air, but kept biting their teeth against the outstanding Melichercik. Only Potulny was able to beat the Bolzano goalie five minutes before the end - and suddenly it became loud in the No Worries Arena. But the HCB didn't let this throw them off course, they stood securely and didn't allow much more. It remained 4:3 for the Foxes.

The revenge was a success: in the last two seasons, Bozen always ended in the quarter-finals against Linz. Now the tide has turned.
