AHL: Even Asiago can't stop the Wolves Express

Almost 2000 spectators saw an exciting game in Bruneck's Rienz Stadium. The teams didn't give each other anything away - they just lacked goals in the first two thirds. In the last part of the game, all dams finally broke on the Puster side: First Wacey Rabbit scored to make it 1-0, which was much celebrated, before Shayne Wiebe and Max Oberrauch followed up and increased the score to 3-0.

Not only did the HCP send Asiago home with a shutout win, the Holick squad also ended the guests' 13-game winning streak. The Wolves, for their part, are still breathing down their necks after their sixth success en suite league leader Ritten.

Val Gardena cannot be defeated in the lowlands In the only purely South Tyrolean encounter of the evening, HC Gröden beat HC Neumarkt 4-3. Although the Ladins were behind three times, they managed to equalize the score just as often and won in the end thanks to Diego Iori's decisive goal. While Neumarkt suffered its sixth defeat in the last seven games, the HCG successfully took revenge for the 3:6 home defeat they suffered in the first leg with their second win in a row.

Leader Ritten is also back on track: the reigning champions beat Fassa 4-1 - a home defeat against Feldkirch is now a thing of the past. In the away win in Alba di Canazei, the Ahlström twins, Julian Kostner and Christian Borgatello, were on the scoresheet.
