AHL: A tailor-made start for Wolves, Buam and Furie

The “Furie” narrowly won 3-2 in a hard-fought game against Neumarkt. The Unterlanders' fighting spirit was not rewarded in front of almost 500 spectators: Neumarkt caught up twice, but had to accept Benjamin Kostner's 2-3 goal five minutes before the end and was unable to react to it.

Ritten and Pustertal, both of which are title contenders, started the new season with victories: While the Buam mastered the difficult away task against Ljubljana with a 2-0 win, the Wolves scored a real firework of goals against Fassa in their 5-1 triumph away.

The first matchday ends on Thursday with the encounter between Vipiteno and Bregenzerwald.
