AHL: The next defeat for Val Gardena

Lustenau, equal on points with the Ladins before the game, was simply more efficient in front of the goal, as the shooting statistics show: While the Austrians were able to celebrate four times from 36 shots, not a single one of the 35 Val Gardena shots found its way into the opponent's goal. DeSantis set the course for victory after just five minutes, and in the second third the outstanding American extended the lead to 3-0 with a brace. Putnik scored the final point 15 minutes before the end.

Val Gardena remains third from bottom in the table with the second-worst goal difference in the league (-27) and just six points. There was no reaction to Saturday's 1:5 against Bregenzerwald, and the coaching effect (Patrice Lefebvre inherited coach Lee Gilbert 10 days ago) was sometimes absent.
