AHL: There is nothing to get in the “Ländle”.

It can happen so quickly: On Saturday morning, the most dangerous pursuer of leader Ritten was still four points behind, HC Pustertal has now been dealt a hard blow with its second defeat in four days and has lost the lead in the table for the time being. The Wolves, who were severely weakened (Wiebe, Pritz and the U-20 national players Laner, Thum, Leitner and DeLorenzo were missing), were defeated 2-4 in the away game against Lustenau.

After falling behind in the first third, the HCP showed good ice hockey, especially at the beginning of the second period, equalized through Bona and subsequently failed to take the lead. Lustenau did better and moved ahead 34-49 thanks to goals from Gricinskis (3th) and Mandlburger (1th). However, the Wolves didn't give in and started the final offensive with Rabbit's 2-3 goal after a tumult, but in the end it wasn't successful.

Defeat at the last second Vipiteno's exemplary morale against Feldkirch also remained uncrowned. The Broncos fell behind after just eleven minutes, but Erlacher immediately equalized. In the second third, Vorarlberg pulled ahead with a double strike to make it 3-1, but Vipiteno showed great fighting spirit and restored the equalizer through Behenna (28') and Roupec (three minutes before the end). But it was fitting on Tuesday evening that Feldkirch's Draschkowitz made it 4:3 one second before the end (!) and thus sealed Vorarlberg's triumph.

The away trips from Vipiteno and Pustertal to Vorarlberg were not worth it: both teams had to admit defeat to Feldkirch and Lustenau respectively on the 20th AHL match day.
