AHL: Neumarkt gets a taste of the sensation against Ritten

In Neumarkt Ritten went into the game as the big favorite, after all the Buam were at the top of the table, while Neumarkt still hadn't picked up a single point after six games. It came as a surprise that the game took such a turn. Ultimately the game went into overtime, where Ritten's Oscar Ahlström scored his team a 6-5 victory.

During the regular season, both teams delivered a goal festival, with Neumarkt even leading 5-3 at one point. But in the end, the Rittner class, with substitute goalie Tretreibenreif in the box, prevailed. Small consolation for Neumarkt: Thanks to the overtime defeat, the Wild Goose got a point and are therefore in the table.

HC Gröden, on the other hand, slipped into a debacle. The Furies lost 2-9 at home to Feldkirch. With three points, the Ladins are third from bottom in the table.
