AHL: Neumarkt also loses 2:4 in Lustenau

The Vorarlbergers took revenge for the 3-4 defeat last Thursday in the “Würth-Arena”, when Joe Harcharik scored Neumarkt’s winning goal 0,3 seconds before the end of regular time.

The match on Tuesday evening was significantly less exciting. Willeit had given the “Wildgänse” from the Unterland a 1-0 lead, but then it was almost only the host who played. In particular, 35-year-old Canadian Yan Stastny was unstoppable for the Neumarkt team. With a hat-trick between the end of the first and the middle of the second period, he put Lustenau on the road to victory.

In the final third, Mandlburger increased the score to 4-1 before Maino from Neumarkt at least managed to get a cosmetic result.

While Lustenau has thus consolidated its place in the middle of the table, Neumarkt has to fear that Fassa will push it back to second-to-last place.

A few days after the embarrassing 2:4 home defeat against the previously winless bottom team KAC II, HC Neumarkt lost again 2:4 in an early AHL match on Tuesday evening, this time in Lustenau.
