AHL: Ritten slips against Asiago – Vipiteno unstoppable

The defending champions lost to Asiago 3-4. After a goalless opening third, the Buam couldn't get anything going towards the end of the second period, which is why they conceded three goals in seven minutes. In the final third, Frei initially reduced the score to 1:3, but just a few minutes later Nigro restored the old gap and made the supposed preliminary decision. Supposedly because Lutz and Tudin made it 3-4 with a double strike, but in the end Asiago shattered the victory over time. Despite the bankruptcy, Ritten remains the sole leader of the table with 15 points.

Vipiteno is currently acting as if in a frenzy. The Broncos rolled over the pointless Klagenfurt team 7-0, with Behensky and Mantinger shining as double goal scorers. With 14 points, the Wildpferdenun are in second place, one point behind leader Ritten.

Neumarkt continues to tread water. The Unterlanders had to narrowly admit defeat 0-1 to Feldkirch in a game full of chances but with few goals. Val Gardena also remained without points, losing 2-0 away against Kitzbühel despite a 12-2 lead after 3 minutes.
