AHL: Vipiteno has better nerves – Ritten defends first place

The Broncos beat HC Pustertal 2-1 after a penalty shootout. Deanesi gave Vipiteno the lead after seven minutes, and Pance equalized in the same third. After that, the Pusterers had more of the game, as the goal shooting ratio of 39:26 impressively shows - but the wild horses played cleverly and, last but not least, had better nerves: Felicetti's attempt was decisive in the penalty shootout.

The Rittner Buam defended their lead in the table: Frei & Co. had a hard time against Cortina, but still prevailed 2-1 after extra time. Lutz scored the decisive goal after 63.20 minutes.

Neumarkt's second win of the season was also hard-fought: against bottom team Klagenfurt, which had previously had no points, the Unterlanders had to go into extra time, where Brabenec scored the redeeming 4-3 with his third goal of the evening.

Val Gardena, on the other hand, narrowly missed the sensation: The Furies played on equal terms with third-placed Asiago at times, but ultimately had to admit defeat 2-3.
