Broncos before historic evening?

The Wipptal Broncos are facing one of the most important players in the club's recent history. For the first time, the Vipiteno team can reach the playoff final of the Alps Hockey League on Thursday evening. But for that you need a win against Ritten.

In the regular round, the Rittners were still ahead as first in the table, but now the “Buam” are on the verge of elimination. If the Wipptal Broncos win in Klobenstein on Thursday evening (20 p.m.), then Vipiteno will be in the AlpsHL final - otherwise the “best of seven” series will continue on Saturday.

Ritten can hope for home strength, because taking the arena in Klobenstein is not easy. On Saturday, Simon Kostner & Co. suffered their first home defeat since October 7th. Vipiteno has to perform a little ice hockey miracle if they want to beat Buam for the second time in a row in their living room. On the other hand, the Wild Horses are brimming with self-confidence. Above all, Davide Conci, who leads the playoff scoring with 2 points (16 goals, 8 assists). Thinking about the last game (8:4 for Vipiteno) probably still makes the Buam dizzy. Conci was involved in all 2 Broncos goals.

No decision will be made in the second semi-final on Thursday. The series between Cortina and Salzburg II is tied 4-2 after 2 games. On Thursday (20.30 p.m.) the young bulls have to compete against the Ampezzans.

Alps Hockey League: Playoff semi-finals, game 5

Score in the series: 1:3

SG Cortina – Red Bull Juniors (Thursday, 20.30 p.m.)
