League newcomer underland completed a six-win streak for the second time this season in the WürthArena at home. The Cavs defeated Val Gardena like in the first leg with 5:1 and become the first pursuer of leader Jesenice.

The South Tyrolean event in front of 350 spectators was by no means as one-sided as the result suggests. The Furies, who played with Diego Glück and Hannes Kasslatter on loan from Bozen, offered the Unterlanders a tough fight, but were not nearly as calm as the home team. Alex Sullmann, who was shorthanded, gave the Cavs the lead with an elegant backhander after a Willleit loss. In the middle section, his teammates extended the lead further: Filip Kokoska after a pass from Wieser, Luka Nyman with a blueliner in the majority and Santeri Haarala with a deflection shot out a 4-0 lead. With his 27th point, the Finn also became the new league top scorer. In the final phase, Brad McGowan gave the many Val Gardena fans who had traveled with him hope again, but after Martin Graf's successful solo effort and the 5-1, the Unterlandler victory was wrapped up in dry towels.

The Rittner series is breaking The Rittner Buam meanwhile return from Salzburg with one point. Despite a good performance, Marco Insam & Co. had to admit defeat against the Red Bull Juniors 5:4 in overtime and therefore missed out on their fourth win in a row. The game Merano against Zell am See was initially all about Thomas Mitterer. The 35-year-old striker was honored before the first puck drop for his 600 appearances at his parent club - only Max Ansoldi (684) has more games in the Merano club history. The Adler then offered one of their most convincing performances of the season and defeated the highly competitive Zeller 2-1. First, the Kurstadters took the lead through Jakob Fuchs. They held this narrow lead until the 46th minute of the game, then Zell am See equalized. David Trivellato scored the goal of the evening in the 54th minute: while turning his body, he fired at the opponent's goal and scored the lead again, which was also the winning goal. It was an all-round successful evening for the HCM, also because overseas newcomer Stephen Desrocher made an extremely promising debut in defense. With this victory, the Merano team can once again look very cautiously towards playoff qualification.
