Lustenau remains Val Gardena's favorite opponent

Lustenau started the qualification round with 4 points, HCG only with one - so a win was almost mandatory. However, the omens were not good, as Michael Sullmann was missing a goal guarantee. Nevertheless, the Furies celebrated a deserved 3-2 win.

The momentum was now on Kostner's side, which thanks to Wilkins increased to 2-3 shortly after the restart. Lustenau was able to shorten the score, but there was nothing to shake the ultimately deserved 1-3 win.

The Wipptal Broncos also celebrated a perfect debut. In front of just 321 fans in the Weihenstephan Arena at home, the Wildpferde won 4-1 against EC KAC II. Dustin Whitecotton's team laid the foundation for the ultimately safe victory in the early stages, when the great Mathieu Lemay scored in the 7th minute of the game.
