Lustenau remains Val Gardena's favorite opponent

Lustenau started the qualification round with 4 points, HCG only with one - so a win was almost mandatory. However, the omens were not good, as Michael Sullmann was missing a goal guarantee. Nevertheless, the Furies celebrated a deserved 3-2 win.

The momentum was now on Kostner's side, which thanks to Wilkins increased to 2-3 shortly after the restart. Lustenau was able to shorten the score, but there was nothing to shake the ultimately deserved 1-3 win.

The Wipptal Broncos also celebrated a perfect debut. In front of just 321 fans in the Weihenstephan Arena at home, the Wildpferde won 4-1 against EC KAC II.
