Michael Sullmann will no longer play for Val Gardena in the future.

Michael Sullmann is leaving HC Gröden

The notice has been in the air for a long time, now it is reality: Michael Sullmann will no longer play for HC Gröden next season.

The 30-year-old moved to Val Gardena in the summer of 2018 and has since been one of the best local players in the Alps Hockey League. 195 points in 189 games are proof of his class. “Even off the ice, our number 7 always set a good example and served as a role model for the young players,” the Furies wrote in a press release.

It is not yet clear where Sullmann is headed now. However, there are some indications that he will continue to play in the Alps Hockey League - albeit for the Unterland Cavaliers, his hometown club. His brother Alexander, who is three years older, also plays there.
