Michele Marchetti also remains a native of Bolzano

Marchetti (185 cm x 83 kg, born in 1994) started his career with Fassa and made the jump to the higher category last season. It was a season characterized by hard work and sacrifice in the service of the coach and the team. As time went on, Michele gained more and more freedom, earning the audience's applause with his commitment and fighting spirit at every change. These performances convinced those responsible at the Foxes to extend his contract for another year and his achievements were also recognized by being called up to the national team for the Top Division World Cup in Cologne - where he scored his first goal for the Blue Team.

With Marchetti's confirmation, HCB Südtirol Alperia is once again proving that it wants to rely on young local players in order to enable them to advance in a higher category and at the same time strengthen the local element in the team.

“I am very happy to be able to play another season in Bolzano – explains Marchetti – I already felt very comfortable in the first year and so it was natural for me to renew the contract with such a motivated team. The first year in the EBEL meant a big leap in quality for me and it was above all a challenge to prove and improve myself. I hope that the new season will be even better: we have to continue to grow as a team and improve the things that didn't allow us to get past the semi-finals last season."
