Augsburg is planning to defend its title at the DolomitenCup

Preparations for the International Dolomites Cup are currently underway at an earlier stage than ever before. Recently, the Augsburg Panthers were the first club to promise that they would come back to Neumarkt. Bayern want to defend their title from last year. With their fourth participation in the tournament, the Augsburg Panthers are also the team that came to South Tyrol most often to prepare for the season.

The organizing committee justified the decision to invite the Bavarian cult club again with the large following of fans and the attractive, offensive style of play last year. The Augsburg Panthers are currently the team of the moment in the German ice hockey championship DEL. Augsburg currently occupies a top 6 place, plays the best power play in the league and always ensures attractive comebacks.

The next participants in the 12th Dolomite Cup are expected to be signed in the coming weeks. Negotiations are currently underway with a second strong DEL team as well as teams from Switzerland, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Finland.
