Field service | Lambacher wins the South Tyrolean duel

There was a lot of South Tyrol on Sunday in Augsburg: The Panthers, with whom Wolkensteiner Alex Lambacher is under contract, met the Penguins from Krefeld with Alex Trivellato. Both teams are going through a difficult time and are stuck in the bottom third of the table. That's why the duel was immensely important. It was ultimately decided 3-0 by Augsburg. However, neither Lambacher nor Trivellato entered the scorer rankings.

A few hours earlier, on Friday evening, Krefeld had suffered a 3-4 defeat against Düsseldorf, while Augsburg had suffered a 0-6 defeat against Munich. The Penguins with Trivellato are in 3rd-last place, Lambacher's Panthers are in 4th-last position. The third South Tyrolean DEL player, Joachim Ramoser from the Nuremberg Ice Tigers, still has to take a break due to a shoulder injury.

South Tyrolean duel 2.0 There was also a South Tyrolean duel in the DEL2: On Friday, Jan Pavlus (Eppan) Heilbronner Falken met Peter Spornbergers (Ritten) Freiburger. Pavlu's team won 6:3. On Sunday there was a small sense of achievement for the Falken defender: Although his team lost against the Tölzer Löwen 6:8, Pavlu was able to get on the top scorer list. Spornberger won 5-1 with Freiburg against the Bietigheim Steelers on Sunday.

A look at Switzerland: Hannes Kasslatter (St. Christina) played there in the NLB game of his Ticino Rockets against GCK Lions, but suffered a 1-2 defeat. As a result, the native of Val Gardena and his team are at the bottom of the table. Diego Kostner, who is in the squad for NLA club Ambri-Piotta, is still out with an adductor injury. In the EBEL, Peter Hochkofler shone with an assist in Salzburg's 3-2 win against Vienna on Sunday.
