In an exciting match between Ritten and Cortina, Albers ensured the decision in the guests' favor in extra time. Ingemar Gruber was missing from the home team due to flu, and Ryan Ramsay, Alexander Einsath and Matteo Rasom were also absent from the game. Cortina was missing Ryan Dingle and Francesco Adami, who was suspended for two match days by the sports judge. In the initial phase, the Ampezzan team got into the game better and put the Rittner Buam under pressure, but Cortina got better and better under control as the game progressed and took the lead in the ninth minute. Valpellice scored a coup, winning 3-0 in Alleghe and making it 2-1 in the series. Surprise at Alleghe: Coach Pokel gave his trust to Gino Guyer, who took Jonas Johansson's place. Anthony Aquino, whom the sports judge had taken out of action for four games, was missing from Valpellice. A lightning start for the guests, who netted after just 28 seconds. First playoff victory for HC Bozen, who defeated Asiago with 6:3 goals in an extremely exciting game on Saturday in the Eiswelle and reduced the “best-of-seven series” to 1:2. HCB coach Brian McCutcheon was able to make full use of the game, while the guests were missing the ailing Federico Benetti. In addition, defender Jeremy Rebek had to go to the stands again as a surplus foreigner. Bolzano played with the storm blocks that were on the ice in the final third in Asiago: Ryan Flynn was used with Bernard and Insam in the first block, Sharp and McCutcheon played with Ladanyi in the second and Christian Walcher in the third. In the third game of the playout, Fassa had to do without Mattia Bernard, while Pontebba had to make do without Gerome Giudice. The game wasn't exactly nice to watch, although the Ladin team created goal opportunity after goal opportunity. In front of the goal, the Fassa players carelessly missed the opportunities. In the 16th minute the wisdom was confirmed: whoever doesn't score the goals gets them. That's how it was here: Federico Demetz took advantage of one of the few chances for Pontebba and scored 1-0 for the guests (15.58). The Eagles from Friuli had a narrow lead until the break. The match was similar in the middle third. Fassa took control of the game and also had many opportunities, but the home team didn't manage to score a goal in the second 20 minutes. In the last part of the game, the Fassa players reaped the harvest they deserved. At first they unsuccessfully laid siege to Grieco's goal, but in the 52nd minute Enrico Chelodi equalized.
