Cole, Gomes, Williams: Ritten's “new ones” should rock this weekend

This is Jason Williams: Williams has played 482 NHL games in his career, scoring 95 goals and 135 assists. In 2003 he won the Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings. During the lockout of the 2004-05 NHL season, Williams moved to Porin Ässät in the Finnish SM-liiga. After the lockout, he played again for the Red Wings on an offensive line with Steve Yzerman and Robert Lang and achieved a personal best of 2005 points (06 goals) in the 58-21 season.

In November 2006 he suffered a severe concussion and was then unable to build on the good performances of the previous season. In 2007 he was taken by the Chicago Blackhawks (36 points in 43 games), and the following year by the Atlanta Thrashers. Williams spent the 2009-10 season with the Detroit Red Wings, for whom he played 47 games and scored 15 points. He then commuted between the AHL (Connecticut Whale and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins) and NHL (Dallas Stars and Pittsburgh Penguins) until 2012, before moving to Europe to join Ambrì-Piotta in the NLA. In his first season in Switzerland, he scored a total of 50 points (48 goals and 26 assists) in 22 games, becoming the league's top scorer. In 2012 he also won the Spengler Cup with Team Canada.

In 2014 he returned to North America to join the Oklahoma City Barons, the then AHL farm team of the Edmonton Oilers. Last year he moved to the Kölner Haien in the DEL. However, he injured his back in preparation for the season and only made 9 appearances (3 assists).

Jason Williams also played in a World Cup for Canada. In 2006 he played nine matches in Latvia, scoring twice against Norway and the hosts and providing 5 assists for a total of 7 scorer points.

This is Jared Gomes

28-year-old center Jared Gomes (1,86 m x 86 kg) played for the University of Prince Edward Island in the CIS from 2009 to 2012. In his first season he won the Clare Drake Award as rookie of the year. Two years later he was elected to the CIS first all-star team.

In 2012, Gomes moved directly from the CIS to the AHL to the San Antonio Rampage. He played there for two seasons and achieved 129 goals and 20 assists in 24 games. In 2014 he came to Europe to join the Straubing Tigers in the DEL. In 41 games he scored 4 goals and had 10 assists. Last year he returned to the AHL with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and scored 63 goals and 8 assists in 9 championship games.

This is Brad Cole:

For Brad Cole, however, it is a return to Klobenstein. The 30-year-old defender made a significant contribution to Rittner's Serie A title win last year with 9 goals and 29 assists in a total of 53 championship games. After the championship he decided to hang up his skates, but will now compete in the Continental Cup with the “Buam”. Cole is currently working as a security coordinator for a Canadian construction company, but has been training for his guest appearance in Klobenstein for weeks.

The 1,93 m tall and 91 kg defender made his AHL debut in 2007 with the Quad City Flames, for whom he played 98 games in two seasons (16 points). In the summer of 2009 he moved to Abbotsford Head, always in the AHL, where he played 64 matches and had ten scorer points.

In 2011, Brad Cole went to Europe, namely to the EBEL. He first played for Laibach for a season before a one-year stint at Villacher SV. In total, he played 109 games in the international ice hockey league and collected 21 points. From 2013 to 2015 he played in the ECHL for the Greenville Road Warriors and the Alaska Aces, for whom he played a combined total of more than 150 games.
