Continental Cup: First victory for Jesenice

The match was even and exciting from the start. In the 7.18 minute Jesenice took the lead with Gasper Galvic, but Budapest was able to equalize in the middle third with the American Jared Brown (21.15 minute). Just six minutes later, the Slovenians made it 2-1 with Blaz Tomazevic, but then conceded another equalizer through Keegan Dansereau. Jesenice had a quick answer ready: Urban Sodja increased the score to 38.16:3 in the 2 minute. The Slovenian lead remained until the last break. Seven minutes before the final siren, the “red devils” made the preliminary decision. Again it was Sodja who scored 4-2. Shortly before the end, Brance Orban reduced the score to 3:4, but nothing changed in the result.

The second match takes place today in Klobenstein at 20 p.m. Italian champions Ritten welcome Serbian champions Crvena Zvezda Belgrade. Ritten clearly won the opening game against Jesenice yesterday with 6-1 goals and could take a giant leap towards the Continental Cup semi-finals in mid-November with another win.

Continental Cup: First victory for Jesenice

The Slovenian champions Jesenice won their first game in the Continental Cup on Saturday afternoon in Klobenstein. After the clear 1:6 defeat against host Ritten on the opening day, the Glavic team narrowly prevailed 4:3 against the Hungarian champions MAC Budapest today.
