Cortina surprises Pustertal – Vipiteno and Val Gardena with successes

The Rienz Stadium no longer seems to be a good place for the Pusterers: After the Rittner Buam celebrated a 5-1 win in Bruneck last weekend, SG Cortina stole three more points from the “Wolves’ Den” on Saturday evening. However, the Ampezzo team's victory was very fortunate, as the home team was the dominant team for the entire 60 minutes, but failed too often due to visiting keeper Martino Valle Da Rin or their own inability. While Francois Bouchard (2) and Armin Hofer scored for the HCP, Angelo Esposito (2), Marcello Ranallo and the young Tobias Brighenti (1996) and Riccardo Laccedelli (1995) were successful for the guests. Due to the defeat, HC Pustertal lost direct contact with the top of the table, while SG Cortina was able to pull away from bottom team Valpellice.

Vipiteno remains a force at home – HCG with its second win in a row The “Wild Horses” turned around a 0-2 deficit against champions Asiago in front of their home crowd and ended up winning 4-2. After the Broncos had completely missed the opening phase of the game and were behind 0-2 after just over three and a half minutes, they turned the tide in their favor and won thanks to goals from Rupert Stampfer, John Lazo, Tobias Kofler and Adam Hughesman's third win in the third home game. The Wipptalers are now at the top of the table together with the Rittner Buam. Meanwhile, HC Gröden has continued its upward trend. The “Furie” brought HC Fassa to its knees 4:3 in a hard-fought Ladin derby and thus said goodbye to the bottom region of the table. The foreigners Luke Moffat, Shane Sims and Justin Mercier as well as Benjamin Kostner brought Val Gardena's second success in a row with their goals.

Cortina surprises Pustertal – Vipiteno and Val Gardena with successes

On the fifth matchday of the Serie A championship, HC Pustertal lost 3:5 to Cortina and suffered its second defeat of the season. However, there were full point gains for Val Gardena and Vipiteno.
