The previous transfer events in the EBEL

As far as new signings are concerned, HC Innsbruck has been the most active so far. The club from North Tyrol has signed three new players: the two Swedish attackers Andreas Valdix and Marcos Olsson, as well as the Canadian defender Nick Ross. Above all, the defensive player, who wore the Asiago jersey during his career, was at the top of neo-coach Christer Olsson's wish list.

Top clubs rely on the tried and tested

Meanwhile, runners-up Salzburg, Klagenfurt and Villach announced numerous contract extensions. The Red Bulls, where Don Jackson will again take the coaching reins next season, have so far signed two new players, namely defender Jeremy Dehner and striker Alexander Cijan, while Patrick Obrist, Fabio Hofer and Matt Keith are in the will no longer appear for Salzburg next season. 17 players have now been confirmed. After the disappointing season, the KAC let seven players go and brought former Bozen player Kim Strömberg and defender Kyle Wharton to Klagenfurt. Coaching questions have not yet been resolved everywhere

Some EBEL clubs have confirmed their trainers, but for the remaining teams there is usually still a question mark behind the coaching position. The Vienna Capitals are looking for a new coach, with Tom Pokel also being among the possible candidates. Meanwhile, the Moser Medical Graz 99ers have found what they are looking for: They recently signed 51-year-old American-born Todd Bjorkstrand.
