The Tyrolean derby is calling: Bozen is reaching for the next points

Although Bolzano's winning streak came to an end on Thursday in Salzburg's Volksgarten, the even duel with the Mozartstadt team showed that the HCB can once again keep up with any opponent. Captain Alexander Egger and Co. stood defensively against the multiple champions and repeatedly made the million-strong squad sweat with quick counter-attacks. With this recipe, the White-Reds want to get back to winning ways against Innsbruck.

“We are returning from Salzburg with our heads held high and are ready for the Tyrolean derby,” said attacker Michele Marchetti, who knows that every point in the last eleven games of the regular season is worth its weight in gold. Bolzano is currently still at the bottom of the table, but with a “three points” a big leap forward could be made. The upcoming duels with the Innsbruck team (there will be a return match in North Tyrol on New Year's Day, editor's note) are of fundamental importance anyway - because only with two wins could the HCB significantly shorten the gap to the Haie, who are ten points away, and perhaps but still start an attack on the top six.

In the two duels of the season so far, the home team has always had the upper hand: In September, Innsbruck prevailed 5-3, and in November Bolzano narrowly won 1-0.

Family Day: Earlier start times and reduced prices As part of the Tyrolean Derby, HC Bozen is organizing “Family Day” for the third time this year. For children and young people under 16 years of age accompanied by an adult, entry costs just one euro. The game starts at 16 p.m., which is why the stadium ticket offices open at 14 p.m.
