The Tyrolean derby turns into a Tyrolean thriller - Foxes lose bitterly

The game didn't start as expected for HCB Südtirol Alperia. In the 5th minute, Innsbruck used the first power play with Bishop, who used an assist from Spurgeon and Lammers to take the lead 1-0. A little later the guests were unlucky when Kearney hit the crossbar (9th) before the North Tyroleans increased it to 2-0. Bolzano moves away

The middle third began with a power play for the HCI, which the home team immediately took advantage of. Because Oberdörfer reduced the score again to 130:6 with 8 seconds left. Just 48 seconds later, Root scored to make it 7:8. And suddenly the game was open again, like a barn door. Bozen now threw everything forward once again, Coach Pokel took the unfortunate goalie Melichercick off the ice - but nothing changed about the result and the unfortunate defeat of the White-Reds.
