DEL: Berlin misses the jump to second place - Ingolstadt defeats Iserlohn

Berlin (SID) DEL record champions Eisbären Berlin missed the jump to second place in the German Ice Hockey League. The capital city team lost 10.329:2 (3:0, 0:1, 1:1) to the Augsburg Panthers in the Mercedes-Benz Arena at home in front of 2 spectators and remain in third place with 89 points. In the direct duel for the remaining play-off places, ERC Ingolstadt beat the Iserlohn Roosters 3:2 (1:0, 1:2, 1:0). "Augsburg played a good game and deserved to win in the end. We simply didn't perform to our best today and weren't there at all," said Eisbären striker Marcel Noebels at Telekom Sport. Augsburg, for whom Jaroslav Hafenrichter (54th) scored the winning goal, can still have hopes for the pre-play-offs with the away win. The Bavarian Swabians moved past Düsseldorfer EG and are now eleventh with 63 points. The gap to the tenth and final pre-play-off place, which the Adler Mannheim occupies, is four points with four games remaining in the main round. John Laliberte (54th) scored the decisive goal for Ingolstadt. The Schanzer moved past Schwenningen to eighth place with 70 points. Iserlohn (71) remains seventh and is level on points with sixth-placed Wolfsburg.
