HC Bozen wants to catch up away from home

The HCB convoy set off for Hungary on Friday morning. The championship game against SAPA Fehervar is scheduled for early Saturday evening (start: 17:30 p.m.). This is supposedly the easier of the two away hurdles that Alex Egger and Co. have to overcome within two days. After the duel against their immediate table neighbors from Eastern Europe, the white-reds travel on to Vienna, where they face the Capitals on Sunday.

With Tuesday's home win against Ljubljana, the HCB moved back to sixth place to within four points. Fehervar currently occupies the place that still qualifies for participation in the Master Round. With two wins at the weekend, Bozen could move back into the top 6 zone. However, the game against Vienna in particular is likely to be a truly mammoth task. The Caps, coached by former Bolzano master coach Tom Pokel, are in a long-distance duel with Salzburg for the top of the table.

HCB coach Mario Simioni will once again be without John Lee in the two upcoming championship games. Günther Hell, Matt Sisca and Roland Hofer also stayed at home. However, the latter is on the mend after his knee injury and could be available again in around ten days.
