HC Bozen shows its masterful face

With their fourth win in a row, HC Bozen has impressively shown that they are a force to be reckoned with this season. Thanks to an extremely strong performance, the South Tyroleans clearly brought Linz to its knees 4-1.

HCB coach Mario Simioni once again relied on the squad players who won 5-4 in the derby against Innsbruck on Friday, forcing Sean McMonagle to watch again. Similar to the game against the Haie, Bozen took the lead after just a few seconds of play. This time Ziga Pance only had 28 seconds to make it 1-0. The White-Reds continued to push and gave guest goalie Ouzas a busy evening in the first third.

Bolzano as if unleashed

At the beginning of the second half of the game, the HCB started again like the fire department: after a minute and a half, Marco Insam made it 2-0. Only a short time later the third goal came from the in-form Derek Nesbitt. The home side were literally in a frenzy during this phase of the encounter. It was only the first goal conceded by Jason Ulmer that woke up the reigning champions.

After the last break, the HCB cracks went to work with great concentration and didn't let Linz get back into the game. After 58.28 minutes, Paul Zanette topped it off with an empty-net goal and secured Bozen's much-celebrated victory.
