HC Neumarkt is in the Serie A2 final

The encounter between the wild geese and the eagles was a clear affair from the start. The home team stepped on the accelerator from the start. After just ten minutes, Neumarkt was leading 2-0: First Tomi Wilenius opened the scoring, then Markus Simonazzi gave Meran goalie Commisso the lead.

After the first break, Meran had a great chance to reduce the score to 1:2, but Taggart Desmet had no luck against Caffi. As the encounter continued, the HCM cracks showed nerves and repeatedly picked up penalty minutes. Neumarkt, however, cleverly exploited its superiority. Peiti and Locatin sent Dorigatti on his way, who made it 3-0. Afterwards, Thomas Mitterer had to leave the ice injured at Meran. On the other hand, Simonazzi failed to close the sack in a one-on-one with Commisso.

However, the decision was only postponed because in the final third Bustreo skilfully put Wilenius in the spotlight and he pushed the puck over the line to make it 4-0. Just a few minutes later, the Finnish HCN striker “returned the favor” with an assist to Bustreo, who made the final score 5-0. Merano no longer had anything to oppose it. After the disappointing performances in the INL, the Kurstadt team also put their dream of winning the Serie A2 championship title to bed.

HC Neumarkt is in the Serie A2 final

The Wildgänse clearly won the first semi-final game of the “Final Four” at home and put HC Meran in their place with 5-0. Above all, double goal scorer Tomi Wilenius made the fans cheer in the well-filled Würtarena. The second semi-final between Eppan and Val Gardena follows at 20.30 p.m.
