HC Pustertal has not yet written off first place

After Vipiteno and Val Gardena each achieved a win on Thursday ( here go to the match reports ), Ritten and Pustertal now want to follow suit. However, one of these teams will leave the ice as a loser in the direct duel. If this were the Wolves, the decision would be made for first place in the table. However, if the HCP manages their first win of the season in the Arena Ritten, things could get exciting again at the top of the table in the remaining five rounds until the start of the playoffs. Then the Rittner points cushion would melt to six points.

Both teams go into the top game with weakened replacements: Ritten is missing the injured Ivan Tauferer and Jan Waldner as well as the suspended Thomas Spinell, while HCP coach Kim Collins has to make do without Christian Willeit and neo-goalie Tyler Weiman. Trevor Johnson will make his debut in the yellow and black jersey.

Less than 24 hours after the summit meeting, the Buam and the Wolves are already waiting for the next purely South Tyrolean duels: The league leaders travel to HC Gherdeina in Wolkenstein, while the Wolves welcome the Broncos from Vipiteno on the Rienzufer in Bruneck. As an outsider, Val Gardena will try to secure sixth place in the table, while Sterzing, on the other hand, wants to keep fourth-placed Asiago at bay by winning a point against Pustertal.
