The HCB signs Clark Seymour

The right-handed shooter comes to Bolzano with the impressive dimensions of 1,93 m and 98 kg. Seymour was drafted in the fifth round by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2012. The Canadian made his first mark three years earlier when he played for the Kingston Frontenacs in the Ontario Hockey League. In the middle of the 2010/11 season he moved to the Peterborough Petes (also OHL), where he was active for a total of two and a half years. The 23-year-old collected 304 points in 62 games in southeastern Canada. In 2014, Seymour moved to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL and the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL. In the ECHL, the defensive man showed his full class and reached the final with his team. He scored a strong 61 times in 35 games.

A true leader Seymour is considered a complete defenseman, known for his excellent skating skills, strong shot and great game vision. The defensive lineman not only has his strengths on defense, but can also be worth his weight in gold on offense. During his time in Wheeling, he was the player with the most ice time and was often used on special teams as well as in 5-on-5. His convincing performances and fighting ability led to him being voted the best “all-round” defender in Wheeling. Now Seymour is ready to demonstrate his qualities beyond the North American continent. “I am over the moon about my move. Playing in Europe is a big step in my career that I always wanted to take. I have now succeeded. The expectations for my time in Europe are very high because so far I have only heard good things about ice hockey here. This applies both to ice hockey in Bolzano and to that of the entire EBEL,” said the first statement from the new purchaser.
