HCB Südtirol Alperia hoped until the end

The match in the Albert-Schultz-Halle started with two bangs. First, former Bolzano player Taylor Vause put the Caps in the lead, then HCB captain Alexander Egger immediately equalized. Five minutes before the end of the game, Kelsey Tessier put an end to all the guests' hopes with the Capitals' sixth goal on a pass from Sharp and gave the HCB the coup de grace. In the last minute of the game, Denny Kearney was left to make cosmetic gains for the Foxes.

In the 25th EBEL round, the Foxes suffered a 4:6 defeat at the UPC Vienna Capitals. Anton Bernard reduced the deficit 61 seconds before the final siren, but the White-Reds were unable to score any more goals in the remaining minute.
