HCB Südtirol beat Innsbruck 4-0

After the away win in Villach, the White-Reds have two home games on the agenda this weekend. The first of these was played on Saturday evening, namely the Tyrolean derby against Innsbruck. After serving her suspension, Kim Strömberg returned to the team, and coach Tom Pokel was also available to Marco Insam after recovering from an injury. Meanwhile, MacGregor Sharp was still out of action while Enrico Miglioranzi took part in the Universiade in Trent with Italy. Rok Pajic celebrated his home debut in the Foxes' dress.

The home team started strong in the ice wave and took the game. Meanwhile, Innsbruck pulled back and tried to score with quick counterattacks. Same picture in the second third. At first the home team had more of the game, before Innsbruck became stronger as the game progressed, but without really embarrassing Hübl. In the final phase of the middle third, Mark Santorelli had the 3-0 on his bat, but missed from a promising position. Shortly afterwards, more precisely 16 seconds before the second break, Trenton Whitfield made the preliminary decision with the third goal of the evening for the Talferstadt team.

The die was cast in the 44th minute at the latest when Ziga Pance made it 4-0. The 24-year-old attacker from Slovenia overcame Machreich after a remarkable counterattack. For Pance it was the sixth goal in the 18th game for the white-reds. Both teams then reeled the program down to the final whistle.

HCB Südtirol cannot rest on their laurels for long after their derby victory against Innsbruck. Tomorrow, Sunday, the Foxes will return to the ice in the ice wave against the Vienna Capitals.
