HCB Südtirol equalizes the series - 6:4 win against Linz

From the first puck drop, the match was an open exchange of blows. In the fourth minute, Lebler gave the guests the lead when he converted a pass from Ulmer. But the Foxes immediately had the right answer ready, as Schofield equalized just eight seconds later. He completed a beautiful combination.

Just 120 seconds later, the guests took the lead for the second time. Moran deflected a shot from Dorion into the Bolzano goal, making it unstoppable for Hübl. But the Black Wings' joy only lasted three minutes. Because in the ninth minute Crowley equalized from the blue line.

After a quarter of an hour, Galvins put the home team in front for the first time when he beat Ouzas with a powerful hammer in the power play.

Linz dominates the middle third

Six minutes had passed in the second half of the game when Spannring brought Linz close again with a great shot into the corner of the cross and equalized to 3-3. Things got even better for the guests from Upper Austria, because after half an hour Ulmer put Linz in front for the third time in this match. The attacker caught Hübl cold through his leg guards. Immediately afterwards, Piche and Crowley let their fists fly and were then sent to the penalty box for five minutes. Crowley also received a two-minute penalty for holding.

Bozen survived this outnumbered situation unscathed and equalized in the 35th minute with Insam, who beat Ouzas with a powerful shot from the blue line.

Double strike breaks the Black Wings' necks

In the final third, Bozen put a lot of pressure on and put themselves on the road to victory with a double strike. First, Insam deflected a McMonagle shot unstoppable before Schofield beat Ouzas with a shot under the crossbar. A little later, Linz was awarded a penalty, in which Matthias Iberer was denied by Hübl. This left the White-Reds with a comfortable two-goal lead.

Five minutes before the end, the Bolzano goalie distinguished himself once again when he won against Kozek. In the 57th minute, Hübl was given a two-minute penalty, which Bernard served for the keeper. However, the Foxes survived the outnumbered situation unscathed and celebrated the important victory.
