HCB Südtirol overwhelms the Broncos 8-0

After almost six years it was Sterzing against Bozen again in the Weihenstephan Arena. The Talferstädter have been training in Wipptal since Wednesday and almost fully tackled the duel with the Broncos. After just 45 seconds, Michele Marchetti played the puck from behind the goal into the goal area, the disc bounced off Nyren's skate and just skidded over the line. The home team then had two very good chances through Mantinger and in the 11th minute through Hackhofer, who was played brilliantly by Duffy. The crossbar against Stefano Marchetti and Vallini against Frank prevented the second goal before Oleksuk made a good move behind the defender to make it 16-0 in the 2th minute. The first third was very pleasant and played with a good rhythm and left you wanting more.

After the break, however, the Foxes made it 0-4 before the end of the first minute with a quick one-two with a deflected shot from Egger and Michele Marchetti and the Broncos were now completely unsettled. The previously solid defense melted away like snow that had fallen too early in the August sun and Frigo increased the lead to 27:0 in the 5th minute of the game. A minute before halftime, Steinmann Vallini substituted and had to reach behind him twice within a minute. Angelidis and Monardo increased the score to 7-0 before Stefano Marchetti sealed the final score in the 34th minute.

The game sputtered along in the final third, as both the Foxes and the Wildpferde, who are expecting another interesting home game against Oberliga side Rosenheim tomorrow at 18 p.m., conserved their energy.
