The HCB loses with its head held high

Bozen started furiously in Vorarlberg, but missed two power play situations in the opening phase despite numerous good opportunities. Pope's supposed goal was not given by the referees after studying the video evidence (11th). In the 13th minute, Flemming was denied by Hardy with a shot that was too central, before Siddall got stuck to Hübl two minutes before the end of the starting third.

Häußle puts Dornbirn in the lead

After the break, Grabher Meier dangerously deflected Arniel's shot, but Hübl was at his post (24th). 180 seconds later the Bulldogs did better. Macierzynski shot from close range, Hübl just let the puck bounce and Häußle pushed the puck over the line.

The HCB then had a good opportunity, but Hardy excelled with a shot at the top corner and defused it with his catching hand. Five minutes before the end of the middle third, Siddall had to go into the cooler and the Foxes were again able to play with one man more. But again the Pokel team couldn't use the power play.

DiCasmirro equalizes

In the final third, Bozen started with enthusiasm, but the home team held on. In the 44th minute, D'Alvise tried a counterattack, but Hübl was there once again. Shortly afterwards, Bozen's goalie had to reach behind himself because Livingston lost out to Hübl after a counterattack in a one-on-one situation (45th).

Saviano awards a penalty

After this goal, Dornbirn took the reins and looked for a preliminary decision, but Bozen always remained dangerous on the counterattack. The Foxes finally increased the pressure in the final minutes, but Hardy was there for Palmieri's shot (53').

Two minutes before the end of the game, Saviano missed the biggest opportunity to equalize when he failed to put a penalty into the Dornbirn team's box. It had previously been laid by Petrik. Immediately afterwards, MacKenzie had to go to the penalty box and Bozen had a power-number situation in the last two minutes.

Coach Pokel also took the goalie off the ice and then took a time out to prepare his team for the final actions. But the people of Bolzano were unable to score a goal - it remained a home win for the DEC, who have always scored points in the last nine games.

The HCB loses with its head held high

In an exciting game at eye level, the Foxes narrowly lost 1:2 in Dornbirn on Sunday evening. In front of almost 2800 spectators, the white-reds certainly had a chance to win the match in their own favor. But goalie Hardy was only defeated once by the HCB attackers.
