Traditional German club in Latsch: Towerstars are getting some fine-tuning

Second division champions in 2011 and 2019, always at the forefront of the DEL2: Just the recent history of the Ravensburg Towerstars, which was founded in 1881 as the Ravensburg e.V. ice sports club. V. was founded, is characterized by some successes. Successes that we want to repeat this year. In addition, Latsch prepared for the upcoming season. From Sunday, September 5th to Thursday, September 9th, the ice hockey professionals were guests in the Vinschger sports village. The Ravensburg Towerstars came to Laces for the sixth time. Last year, the training camp was not possible due to the coronavirus pandemic. “We find optimal conditions here,” praises Daniel Heinrizi, the team’s sporting director. There are numerous opportunities in Vinschgau, especially when it comes to team building. Among other things, the program included an evening on the Latscher Alm. Excursions to the Martello Valley were also a must. “The team can grow together here. That is important in this phase of preparation for the season,” says Heinrizi. Play for the title The hockey professionals got the finishing touches during the ice sessions in the IceForum. Also there: 2 young German players from ERC Ingolstadt, who completed a training camp in Laces a few weeks ago. “We have a partnership with ERC Ingolstadt,” explains the sporting director. This is how you act as a farm team during the season. They want to play for the championship this season too. In 2019, when the club from Baden-Württemberg won the title, promotion to the DEL was not yet possible. This would now be provided for again in the German league system. “Let’s see what happens,” Heinrizi looks ahead.
