The “Azzurri” start their World Cup preparations

The trainer received rejections from Andreas Lutz, Daniel Frank and Paul Zanette. For this purpose, he called up Michael Sullmann from Neumarkt, Denny Deanesi from SV Kaltern and Fassa player Michele Marchetti into the training squad. This currently includes 30 players, but has to be reduced to 22 cracks before leaving for Poland. In addition, numerous players who will be playing in the playoffs could still join the team.

On April 16th, the Italian national team will set off for Brno and from there travel to Krakow, where they will meet the host nation on April 19th. After that, the World Cup appearances against Ukraine, Hungary, Japan and Kazakhstan await.

First, however, there are still two test matches on the agenda as part of the preparation program. The Blue Team will face Kazakhstan twice on April 13th (in Trento) and April 14th (in Asiago).

This Thursday the first training session is scheduled in Asiago with a view to the World Cup of the 1st Division in Poland. Selection coach Stefan Mair recently made three changes to the squad.
